This 35m vintage yacht was originally delivered by Dickie & Sons in 1930 and features a rich and colourful past. Following the outbreak of World War II, she was commandeered by the Royal Navy and used as a coastal patroller. Her 71 ribs were reinforced during the war to strengthen her hull and help ensure her survival. Post-war she was renamed ‘Lady Jeanetta’ and travelled around the U.S. before being used as a floating casino around the Mediterranean. In the late 1940s, she disappeared from the public eye after changing hands and only remerged to the charter market in the 1990s under the name ‘The Classic.’ After being fully rebuilt in a manner which preserved her unique historical value in the early 2000s, she was visited by name celebrities before her current owner fell in love with her beautiful lines in 2017.
After undergoing further refits to help protect her original wooden interiors, she is ready for charter and to create new memories once more. enjoy the unique atmosphere on board of the classic yacht Over the Rainbow, Steeped in history and nostalgia, much of her original fittings have been carefully maintained. For example, the original Honduras mahogany panels in the dining room still reflect the marks from where officers played darts during the war. Able to comfortably accommodate 11 guests in five cabins, each cabin and ensuite bathroom features decadent wooden panelling throughout, reflective of her age and history.
