Brian Ferdinand: How Corporate Housing Firms Are Adjusting to the Pandemic

Business

28 Jan

During the Great Lockdown of 2020, many attractions and businesses throughout Los Angeles shut down as a result of the global pandemic. According to Brian Ferdinand in a recently released article, the number of visitors to the city declined as travel by both car and air took a nosedive. Likewise, various types of accommodation providers—such as corporate housing firms—took a major hit. Now, however, travel has resumed in many places, and corporate housing firms have made adjustments to accommodate the pandemic. Here is a look at a couple of steps that corporate housing companies are taking to keep their guests safe during COVID-19.

Cleaning Process

In the recent article, Brian Ferdinand, the managing partner of SoBeNY and parent company CorpHousing Group, explains that corporate housing providers are being extra careful when cleaning communal areas in their housing units, such as the units’ living and dining areas. They are also deep cleaning their bathrooms and replacing bathroom supplies such as rugs and towels. Bedrooms are also receiving increased attention, with professional cleaners taking time to clean such bedroom objects as décor, artwork, lamps, and walls.

Also, while cleaning a unit that you have booked, your corporate housing provider’s staff should clean their hands frequently for 20 seconds or more. Likewise, they should clean their hands between disinfecting apartments, and they should also be encouraged to perform the appropriate sneezing and coughing etiquette.

Cleaning Agents

When cleaning housing units, it is critical that corporate housing firms use the right agents for cutting through COVID-19 along with millions of bacteria, germs, and diseases. For this reason, if you plan to stay in a corporate housing unit, you may want to verify that the company has used cleaning agents approved by the Environmental Protection Agency and the Centers for Disease Control to disinfect the unit.

These agents are sure to kill the coronavirus in seconds, thus decreasing your chances of being exposed to the virus while staying there. However, these agents also work excellently against many other types of viruses, including the rhinovirus, norovirus, and rotavirus. They are also designed to effectively combat the poliovirus and the enterovirus, thus protecting you against other illnesses that you could otherwise easily contract while away on a vacation or business trip.

When you select a top-tier corporate housing firm for your next trip, you can rest assured that the company will work hard to make your unit a healthy, happy, and clean temporary home.
