I was watching a brilliant video from lifestyle coach Roger Wolfson last week, and he was discussing a wonderful little daily routine which many of us could do with right now. Given the situation that the world is in, many of us need that little bit of positivity and so Roger was saying that a great daily practice is to write down 3 things that you feel positive about, making sure that they are different each day. This is a nice way to remind yourself that despite the negatives which there are in the world, there are always things to be positive about, and here are some examples.
Health
Currently there are hundreds of thousands of people all over the world who are struggling with their health and who are sadly losing their lives. If you are in a position whereby neither you or your family have been impacted by the health crisis that is going on at the moment then this is certainly something that you should be feeling positive and thankful about.
Easy Access
Thanks to the worldwide web it has never been easier for us to stay in touch with friends and family, to learn new things and to share our lives with the rest of the planet. There are dangers of course of having this level of connectivity but by and large this is a hugely positive thing and definitely something which we should be positive about. Just imagine if we were going through the crisis that we are going through, and we didn’t have the web, then things would be truly horrendous.
Life is Good
Ultimately if you have a roof over your head and some food in your stomach then life is very good indeed. We often hold ourselves to these high standards and therefore can feel down in the dumps when we believe that things aren’t going well for us. The reality is that no mater what you ambition is like, no matter what you think that you should be doing or achieving, humans are just basic animals and food and shelter is all that we need.
Help and Support
If you are reading this and some of the things that we have spoken about here do not apply to you, then one positive is that there is so much help and support out there should you need it. Again this goes back to the web and the connections that we all now have. There are food banks which are supporting people who are struggling, there are charities and shelters which can do the same too and there are many groups and organizations who can support people over the phone if you are having issues. There is always someone out there who will be willing to lend a hand or an ear to those who are struggling, the important thing for you to do is reach out.
These are just a few examples of reasons why you should be positive.
